The Women’s Center will be showing a film the week of November 5 which deals with the stereotypes regarding disability in contemporary society.
The Alice Elliott-directed documentary Body and Soul: Diana and Kathy tells the story of two women dealing with issues of disability (Diana with Down’s syndrome, and Kathy with cerebral palsy). Diana serves as caregiver to Kathy through the course of the film, and model a grand experiment in in-dependent living,” according to the synopsis provided by the center.
The length of Body and Soul: Diana and Kathy runs to 40 minutes. Showtimes are as follows:
Monday (11/5) & Wednesday (11/7) 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 & 4:00 pm
Tuesday (11/6) 1:00, 2:30, & 4:00
