Mental Health First Aid (6/10)

Mental Health First Aid is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. The first aid is given until appropriate professional treatment is received or until the crisis is resolved. It is an all-day course and you must attend all eight hours to receive a certificate.

Increasing Your Confidence (6/10)

This workshop is designed to help you identify the insecurity and anxiety that may be short-circuiting your success. Through this workshop, you will learn to increase your poise and confidence so you can be more effective. Our facilitator will work to help you develop strategies to improve your overall confidence and manage expectations and embrace your style of interaction.

This workshop will be on Monday, June 10, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in The University Center Room 312.

UMBC Summer Day Camp (6/17-8/16; Registration Open)

Registration is now open for the UMBC Summer Day Camp!

UMBC will once again offer its Summer Day Camp in 2013, which will mark the 35th consecutive year in operation. UMBC Summer Day Camp has a number of unique features that make it an outstanding experience for those boys and girls attending, offering structured activities for all ages. This year the Summer Day Camp will be accepting Visa and MasterCard. We are pleased to provide this opportunity to children of our faculty, staff, alumni and friends from the surrounding community. The camp will operate a total of nine weeks for children ages six to 13. This year’s sessions will run from June 17 to August 16.
